Augusta GA Auto Accident Attorney – NTSB: Trolley driver refusing to talk

BOSTON (AP) – Federal transportation officials say the MBTA trolley operator accused of causing a crash that injured nearly 50 people while sending text messages has been advised by his lawyer not to talk to investigators.

A spokesman for the National Transportation Safety Board said in a statement Wednesday that the agency had a signed subpoena ready to be served by federal marshals, but were informed by a lawyer for Aiden Quinn that he would refuse to testify if it was served.

Quinn’s lawyer, Michelle Menken, said Tuesday that her client is “extremely remorseful” and remains in pain from a broken wrist suffered in the accident Friday. She did not immediately return a message left at her office on Wednesday.

Quinn has skipped meetings with MBTA and federal investigators since the crash, saying he was not feeling well.
